About this item
- Content: our 40pcs silver brazing rods are made of AWS BCuP-5 phos copper brazing alloy with a real 15 percent silver content (silver 15, Cu 80, P 5); Every flat brazing rod measures 0.050"x1/8"x10", which will bring you more safety by using our silver solder products
- Performance: as a genuine 15% silver brazing rod, it drops the working temperature well below plain copper-phosphorus alloys, with solidus 1193°F / 645°C and liquidus 1472°F / 800°C; Good wettability lets the silver solder flow deep into tight 0.002"-0.006" gaps, giving strong, leak-tight joints in less time
- Compatibility: self-fluxing on clean copper, these flat welding rods flow like a quality solder stick with no extra paste needed; When joining brass or steel, brush on brazing flux first; Ready for air conditioning, refrigeration, and copper tubing jobs around the house or shop; Before brazing, it is essential to thoroughly clean the brazing area and the surface of the brazing material, removing any grease, oxides, or other contaminants
- Strength: joints hold up to the everyday service demands of refrigeration brazing rods with higher strength and toughness than soft solder; Because these are low temperature welding rods, thin-wall copper lines stay protected from warp, scale, and heat damage during repair
- Applications: the essential brazing rod for HVAC pros and do-it-yourselfers repairing air conditioner line sets, refrigerator coils, cold storage units, and leaky copper pipe; These affordable welding sticks do the same job at a lower price than many name-brand packs
