About this item
- Hard Bottom for Stable Support: Built with a rigid hard bottom panel and non-slip base, this large dog car seat provides a firm, defined space for your dog and helps reduce shifting during everyday travel. Unlike a soft dog car hammock that can sag or collapse, the structured half-seat design holds its shape for a more stable ride.
- Fits Cars, Suvs & Most Trucks: Measuring 27.5 × 21.6 × 20 in, this design works well as a dog car seat for medium sized dogs while also accommodating larger dogs within the 70 lb limit. Our back seat extender for dogs fits rear bench seats in most cars, SUVs and trucks. Before purchase, please make sure your vehicle has at least 27.5 in of usable rear-seat width on one side for proper installation.
- Half-seat Design Leaves Room for Passengers: The half back seat extender gives your dog a roomy travel area while keeping the other side of the rear bench available for a passenger or child car seat. Child restraints must always attach directly to the vehicle seat, not the dog seat platform. Breathable mesh side panels promote airflow and help keep your dog comfortable on the road.
- Waterproof Oxford Fabric & Easy Cleaning: The waterproof Oxford fabric helps this dog seat cover for back seat protect your car seats and doors from mud, pet hair, drool and wet paws. For easier maintenance, remove the rigid support components before cleaning; the removable fabric cover is machine washable for convenient everyday care.
- Built-in Safety Tether Opening: A dedicated opening at the lower rear panel allows access for a compatible pet safety tether, helping limit your dog’s movement while traveling. For added stability, seat anchor straps and headrest straps help keep the dog car seat securely positioned on the rear bench.
